Hello! I hope you are enjoying reading my blog. I started this when my husband began his job as a traveling RN. I previously worked in retail and even had my own fabric and yarn shop but due to the nature of his job I had to put working aside.
RN’s work long, hard hours so I knew I needed to come up with something to occupy my time. Something productive; something that would make me give me goals to work towards. It would have been easy to sit around watching Netflix but I knew that was a road I did not want to get stuck on.
I am a social person by nature so being in new places for short periods of time is hard because you really don’t have time to meet anyone. Also, not having a job really cuts down on your chances of meeting people period.
I jumped into blogging really not having too much of a plan other than wanting to feel less isolated. So far I have really enjoyed it. I love sharing my adventures in DIY, our travels, and our life in between. The best part is reading comments and feeling like you are part of a larger community. It also pushes me outside of my comfort zone since I can’t have an interesting blog if all I do is stay at home!
Since beginning the traveling RN adventure we have been to Florida, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Vermont. It has been a life changing experience and has made our country seem much smaller and accessible .
We are currently back home and my husband is working as a home health case manager. I am once again, trying to find my place. It is hard to not have another adventure planned right now but I know as soon as spring gets here we will hit the road somewhere. We have to! Wanderlust is in our bones now.
I hope you continue to join me on this journey. I will continue to share our travel experiences as well as my cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting; all of my hobbies that keep me sane. Please feel free to comment or ask questions- I love interacting with my followers.
